ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Jimmy Katz was born in New York City in 1957 and studied photography with John McKee at Bowdoin College. Katz and his wife and collaborator Dena have become the most prolific and celebrated jazz photographer of the last 30 years. “Salt Dreams” came from their frequent travels to Utah and interest in documenting the conflict between man and nature.
